Analyzing the first year of Trump’s presidenc with Ambassador Melanne Verveer

A year ago, Donald Trump was elected President of the United States, despite most analysts predicting Hillary Clinton would be the first women President of the United States, but, including myself, we were all wrong.

It all happened a year ago and it’s important to start thinking an analyzing what happened, but particularly important let’s think and look at what happened and how this has impacted the bilateral relationship between Mexico and the United States. That’s why today’s guest, one of the panelists at the Mexico Women’s Forum 2017, Melanne Verveer, who is a voice coming from the United States talking about what is happening in the United States and the bilateral relation a year from Trump’s election.

Melanne Verveer is Director of the Georgetown University Institute for Women Peace and Security, but, she did work in both Clinton Administration. She has been a very important voice in speaking about women’s issues around the world.

Discussing APEC 2017 and the Future of TPP with Sergio Negrete from ITESO

President Enrique Peña Nieto traveled to APEC last week, a very important meeting that took place in Vietnam. One of the issues that came out of the meeting is the fact that eleven countries out of twelve that originally negotiated the Trans Pacific Parntership, decided to move forward with some type of trade agreement without the President of the United States. They decided to sit down and try to finance a new agreement. To talk about this is Sergio Negrete, professor at ITESO.
